Big Love

Chairing post-show talks and panel discussions that give unmissable insights to audiences is my favourite thing to do. I have a wide variety of events coming up for plays and musicals across London and beyond.

After At Last, Feel, Lately, Flashbang, And If the Surface Tension Breaks and The Shatter Box, I’ll reunite with Proforca Theatre for their latest new play Big Love, concluding their ground-breaking Here | For season of supported work at London’s Lion & Unicorn Theatre.

“The problem with making a big entrance is that there’s always someone left to clear it up later”

He believes in love. Big songs. Big feelings. Big entrances. The kind of love that comes with a key change, a confetti cannon and absolutely no sense of self-awareness.

Most of all, he believes in looking the truth right in the eye and running away.

Because love should be extraordinary, shouldn’t it? But what if it isn’t?

What if it’s been somewhere much closer all along? And somewhere there’s a big red phone that won’t stop ringing.

From tiny gestures scrawled on sticky notes to 1,001 dancefloors, from the songs that made us believe in a thing called love to the quiet moments in between, Big Love is a brand new solo show about belief, desire, avoidance and the people we choose to give it all up for in the end.

Part party, part confession, part love letter to all of life’s best bits, Big Love is written and directed by David Brady, with associate direction by Mark Conway, and performed by Samuel Warren. Its two-week season concludes the Here | For season following God Save Us (Codex Theatre), Uncle Monty’s Antique Shop (Pither Productions) and The Other Room (Ladybird Productions).

Here | For is a first-of-its-kind supported season of breakout work led by Proforca Theatre Company and presented at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre. Selected from more than 50 applications, each company receives financial, rehearsal, marketing and performance support as well as mentorship.

Following the 70-minute press night performance on Wednesday 28 October 2026, I’ll chair a discussion with the Big Love team as well as artistic leads from the other Here | For companies about the rewards and challenges of putting on new work.
