After two critically acclaimed and sold-out runs at Kennington’s White Bear Theatre, The Last Days of Liz Truss now transfers for strictly limited season at The Other Palace Studio, with Emma Wilkinson Wright reprising the “standout” (Mark Lawson, Guardian) performance which won her Best Actor at last year’s London Pub Theatres Awards.

A tragic-comic exploration of the tensions in politics between ambition and ability, vision and reality, going short and playing it long, the play – written by Greg Wilkinson, directed by Anthony Shrubsall and featuring Spitting Image’s Steve Nallon as the voice of Margaret Thatcher (and others) – also takes a much broader look at broken systems and the tensions and contradictions at the heart of British and global politics.
