Our Public House\, Barney Norris’ heart-warming play with music for Dash Arts\, comes to London’s Marylebone Theatre.  \n“Everyone knows what this country’s going through. All of us could tell a story of harm we’ve suffered”  \nIt’s local re-election time and MP Mary is buzzing. In the last round\, everyone spoiled their vote. They felt unheard and wanted to show those in power that they weren’t to be taken for granted. She’s not going to let that happen again. \nAs Mary joins people gathered together in the local pub\, conversations start. Jokes are thrown in. Ideals clash. There’s singing on tables! Love blossoms. And something starts to shift… \nThis funny and heartwarming play by award-winning playwright Barney Norris (whose credits include Sting musical The Last Ship) and director Josephine Burton is about what happens when your voices take centre stage and those with influence start to listen. \nTold through spoken English\, British Sign Language (BSL)\, Sign Supported English (SSE)\, creative captioning and original live music\, Our Public House brings together a cast of hearing and deaf performers: Kit Esuruoso\, Chaya Gupta\, Gabriella Leon\, Lauren Moakes\, Fergus O’ Donnell and Bharti Patel. \nFollowing the 7.30pm on Tuesday 30 June 2026\, I’ll talk to Our Public House‘s cast and creatives about the show’s development\, themes and touring journey.
