Jupiter’s Ghost: Origins post-show Q&A at London’s Etcetera Theatre
It’s a distinct pleasure to be invited back by a theatre company, even more so to be invited back to witness and celebrate the evolution of a concept.
Last June, I chaired a Q&A for the premiere of writer-director Tani Gill‘s “lockdown project”, the sci-fi inspired play with dance Jupiter’s Ghost.
Set 100 years in the future after Earth has succumbed to a climate catastrophe, the play centred on a scientist trying to recreate what’s been lost in a series of experiments blurring the line between AI and humanity.
How had we got to that point?
I reunited with Tani for the first performance of the prequel, Jupiter’s Ghost Origins, running this week only at London’s Etcetera Theatre Camden.
Beyond the stage, Jupiter’s Ghost has also spawned a film and a series of beautiful graphic novels. And where there’s a stage prequel, will a sequel follow?
I look forward to seeing how Tani continues to expand the universe of Jupiter’s Ghost.
